My verdict (checked 3 November 2026)
- Golden Crown is a real, long-running casino (since 2019) with a very large lobby, but it is not licensed in Australia and ACMA ordered it blocked in 2022.
- Its paperwork is unclear: sources name two companies and three different licence references.
- Bonus terms are standard for offshore casinos (40x, A$7 max bet), and withdrawal limits are generous at A$15,000 per transaction.
- I would not call it a scam, but I would not deposit a balance you cannot afford to lose there either.
Is Golden Crown legit?
Golden Crown is a genuine operating casino, not a fake site, but “legit” depends on what you mean. It has run since 2019, works with 131 game studios, and publishes bonus and payment terms. What it lacks is a single, checkable licence trail.
GoodLong track recordOperating since 2019 with about 12,700 games.
GoodHigh payout limitA$15,000 per transaction, no period caps published.
UnclearLicenceTobique 0000064 per casino.org; Curaçao on the legal pages, with two different numbers in other reviews.
UnclearOwnerMetlait SRL (Costa Rica) or Hollycorn N.V. (Curaçao), depending on the source.

Licence and owner
casino.org lists Metlait SRL, a Costa Rica company, as owner and a Tobique Gaming Commission licence, number 0000064. Golden Crown’s own legal pages name Hollycorn N.V. of Curaçao and a Curaçao licence without a number. Other reviews give Curaçao numbers OGL/2023/176/0095 and 8048/JAZ2019-015. I show all of them because I could not confirm one against a regulator record. Either way, there is no Australian regulator to complain to.
The ACMA block
In 2022 ACMA asked Australian internet providers to block Golden Crown, together with Sol Casino, PowBet, ExciteWin, Sportaza and Gamble Online, after finding them in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The Act targets operators, not players. I do not publish mirrors or numbered domains, and I do not explain how to get around blocks.

Golden Crown quotes the same tier numbers in each account currency; the figures below are the AUD values at face value as reported by casino.org (its review shows them in NZ$). Some Australian review pages quote a smaller first tier of A$1,500 + 300 FS, so check the cashier before you deposit. Winberry figures are its Canadian terms, converted at about A$1.01 per C$.

Who it suits
Golden Crown suits experienced players outside Australia who want a big lobby and high payout limits and accept an unclear licence. For Australians, the three alternatives are easier to reach and easier to check.
